LOVE DRUG :: STARLITO'S RETURN ALBULM

 You aient a fan if you have not been anticipating the LOVE DRUG albulm from Starlito. Most stil have no idea who the fuck Lito is but I think those people have no idea what real music is these days. One of the most consistent artist to breath life into a microphone with heated bars. The Nashville artist has collaborated with some of the most respecte artist in the rap game. Its been three and half years since his last albulm but his name nor label has lost any traction. Now that I gave some basic info on the artist lets get to the project. 

LOVE DRUG is unlike any other project to date, in my opinon this is mature rap or pure and simple grown folk music. The production is different, the content is different but the message remains the same with a few new twist like "Whats cooler than cool?" This go around Lito replies "Liquid Nitrogen" instead of signature "Ice Cold", but you gotta be up on his music to catch that line.

I cant call any of the 14 Tracks a favorite but the titled track LOVE DRUG pretty much sums up the 3.5 year wait for this albulm and I will wait a lifetime for this quality of project. How long has it been since you play an albulm from start to end without a track skip?? I'll wait... If you cant tell by the amount of blogs we have done on Starlito that he is one of our favorite artists and I take that A word serious. Every rapper not artistic most sound autistic but thats another story or refer to the track "iH8RAP" featuring the controversial figure Charleston White speaking his mind on the rap community as Starlito snaps on this so called Real Rap game and letting you know this shit is all entertainment like WWE.

Track 8 "1008" got that NOLA bounce vibe as Lito comes with rapid fire spit, bar after bar telling his own story as nobody can tell it for him. He does a hell of a job with a little insight on his lifestyle, hood beef & also his gold albulm accomplishments. This track is the most uptempo as Lito slices through the beat like a hot knife through a stick of butter.

This project should garner high praises from the rap community and would easily be a 5-mic albulm in the SOURCE. As all of Lito's project this one too has found its place in our daily office music rotation as well as my personal playlist. I woud advise you to give this albulm a listen as well as others in Starlito's vast catalog.

The emo-rap genre is what Starlito actually pioneered as I found him to be one of the first to speak on real personal issues and emotional topics that most experience in silence which was uncommon in the rap music 20 years ago. The emotional aspects he touched sparked an entire lane in the game and birthed over a dozen of your favorite artist like Rod Wave just to mention.
